Frequent questions

Do I need an account?

No. The app works fully without signing in: your words, progress and reviews live on the device itself. An account only matters if you want the same sets on several devices.

How do I get my tutor's word list in?

Create a set → "From a photo" and photograph the page. The app reads the lines and offers cards, which you can correct before saving. If the list is not on paper, use "Import": paste the text and the app splits it into term and meaning.

Why does the app decide what to review?

A word you have just learned fades quickly, while a familiar one holds for weeks. The app tracks a due date for every word and gathers the ripe ones on the "Today" screen. That is why a short daily session beats a long weekly one.

Reminders do not arrive

Check that notifications are allowed: iPhone Settings → Linga → Notifications. A reminder is skipped when there is nothing to review or you have already practised today — that is deliberate.

Parsing a list or the dialogue does not work

Those run on a language model, so they need a connection. If you are online and it still fails, the shared daily request limit may be used up for today — try again later. Everything else — cards, tests, reviews — works offline.

Will I lose my words if I delete the app?

Yes, if you have no account: the cards live on the device. Make a copy in advance — Settings → "Download a backup" — and everything can be restored from it. With an account your words stay in the cloud.

How do I delete my account and all data?

Settings → Account → "Delete account and cloud data". The email, password and cloud copy are erased immediately and permanently. Cards on the device remain — removing the app clears those.

What is next

The app keeps growing: if a mode, a language or a feature is missing for you, write in — it shapes what comes next.
